The AI Security Institute is the world's largest and best-funded team dedicated to understanding advanced AI risks and translating that knowledge into action. We’re in the heart of the UK government with direct lines to No. 10 (the Prime Minister's office), and we work with frontier developers and governments globally.

Expression of Interest

AISI is open to expressions of interest from talented AI research scientists and engineers who are interested in building the technical foundations that will be needed for agentic controls and forensics for future systems (> 1 year from now); have relevant hands-on AI research experience; and have ideas for approaches which will scale to understanding misbehaviour from future generations of highly capable AI agents, but feel that their ideas and skills do not currently fit under any of the workstreams in AISI's current research agenda. Our talent team will reach out should a role arise at AISI or a related government team that may be a good match.
