Lead Architect & Platform Engineer (m/f/d) at ANGEHEUERT GmbH

Are you looking for an architecture role where you do not simply optimize existing structures within a decades old IT environment? As a Lead Architect & Platform Engineer, you will have the opportunity to build key parts of a modern cloud and platform architecture from the ground up while actively shaping standards, integration patterns, and technical guidelines. Apply now and help build the technological foundation for the company’s next stage of development.

Your benefits as Lead Architect & Platform Engineer

• Creative Freedom: Help build modern cloud and platform architectures and influence which technologies and standards will be used in the long term.

• Flexibility: Organize your working day largely on your own and work flexibly from home or anywhere in Germany. At the same time, you should be willing to attend important workshops and meetings in person when required.

• Workation: Take up to four weeks of workation within the EU and, subject to agreement, potentially beyond the EU.

• Pension: Benefit from an occupational pension scheme with a 50% employer contribution.

• Development: Take advantage of individual training opportunities, language courses, and personal learning programs.

• Environment: Work in an international environment with flat hierarchies, short decision making processes, and a high degree of personal responsibility.

• Compensation: Enjoy an attractive overall package with a variable component that reflects your experience and technical expertise.

Your tasks as Lead Architect & Platform Engineer

• Architecture: Develop the target cloud architecture as well as microservices, data layers, and AI services.

• Cloud Platform: Design landing zones, networks, identity concepts, and governance structures.

• DevOps: Develop standards for CI/CD, release strategies, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Integration: Define architecture and integration patterns for APIs, events, and batch interfaces.

• Security: Incorporate security, monitoring, resilience, high availability, and regulatory requirements into the architecture.

• Data & AI: Translate data and AI strategies into concrete architecture components and integration patterns.

• Technical Sparring: Support Development, Infrastructure, Security, and business teams with technical decisions.

Your profile

• Education: A completed degree in IT or a comparable qualification provides the foundation for this role.

• Architecture: Several years of experience as a Solution, Cloud, or Enterprise Architect in complex IT environments.

• Hands on: Practical programming experience and a strong technical understanding are essential.

• Cloud: Very good knowledge of modern cloud, network, and identity architectures, ideally complemented by Azure experience.

• Technology: Experience with microservices, APIs, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and modern platform architectures.

• Industry: Experience in banking, insurance, investment, or a comparable financial environment, combined with experience in modern cloud or SaaS environments.

• Communication: Excellent English skills and the ability to communicate complex technical decisions clearly and effectively.

Have you had enough of gradually optimizing existing structures and want to build something from the ground up again? Then this is the right opportunity to bring your experience into a newly developing IT architecture and leave your technical mark.
