We are looking for a hands-on IT Administrator / (Senior) IT Administrator to take ownership of the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of our IT environment in Germany while supporting our international teams.

This is a highly practical role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, administering systems, supporting users, and continuously improving IT infrastructure. You will work across Linux and macOS endpoints, identity and access management, cloud services, networks, security tooling, and on-premises infrastructure .

You will be a key point of contact for IT topics in our Munich office and work closely with Engineering, DevOps, HR, and other business functions.

In addition to your core IT responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of Information Security and compliance , including ISO 27001 and TISAX. Previous compliance experience is welcome but not required —we are looking for someone who is interested in learning and growing in this area.

Hands-on IT Administration

• Own and manage the day-to-day operation of our cloud and on-premises IT environment.

• Administer and support Linux and macOS endpoints throughout their lifecycle.

• Manage MDM, IAM, user accounts, permissions, SSO, and MFA.

• Administer cloud-based email, collaboration, and file-storage services.

• Manage employee access across internal systems and business applications.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks.

• Manage VPN solutions, network segmentation, policies, and access rules.

• Administer and maintain on-premises and cloud-based servers.

• Manage endpoint security solutions, including EDR/antivirus, patching, encryption, and security policies.

• Implement and maintain integrations between different IT systems.

• Automate repetitive IT administration tasks wherever possible.

• Monitor systems and proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users.

IT Support & Service Delivery

• Be a primary point of contact for IT support for employees in our Munich office and provide remote support to colleagues in other locations.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, endpoint, network, account, and access issues.

• Manage IT support requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.

• Set up laptops, accounts, permissions, and required applications for new employees.

• Execute IT onboarding and offboarding for employees and contractors.

• Manage IT hardware inventory and device lifecycle.

• Maintain clear and useful technical documentation.

• Help create a reliable and user-friendly IT environment where employees can work effectively with minimal friction.

IT Security & Compliance

You will have the opportunity to learn how to manage ISMS based on ISO 27001 and TISAX frameworks. We are looking for someone eager to develop in this area.

You will:

• Support the implementation and maintenance of technical security controls.

• Help maintain IT documentation, policies, procedures, asset inventories, and access records.

• Support evidence collection and technical preparation for ISO 27001 and TISAX audits.

• Work with internal and external stakeholders on Information Security topics.

• Support vulnerability management, patching, backups, disaster recovery, and security incident readiness.

• Help investigate and resolve IT security incidents.

• Gradually develop your knowledge of our ISMS and security/compliance requirements.

• Contribute ideas for improving the security and resilience of our IT environment.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with Engineering and DevOps on infrastructure, access, networking, and security topics.

• Support business applications used by HR, Sales, Finance, Legal, and other teams.

• Work with IT vendors and service providers when required.

• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to our IT environment.

• Support the secure adoption of AI tools and emerging technologies.

• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and simplification.

• Several years of hands-on experience as an IT Administrator, System Administrator, IT Engineer, or similar role .

• Strong hands-on experience administering Linux and/or macOS environments , with a willingness to become proficient across both.

• Experience with endpoint and device management, including MDM, centralized patching, encryption, and security policies.

• Experience with IAM, SSO, and MFA .

• Experience administering cloud-based productivity and collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 .

• Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, Wi-Fi, VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls .

• Experience administering servers and working with on-premises infrastructure.

• Understanding of endpoint security, backups, monitoring, and logging.

• Basic scripting or automation skills using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies .

• A practical troubleshooting mindset and willingness to investigate problems independently.

• Comfortable supporting users directly—from simple endpoint issues to more complex infrastructure problems.

• Ability to document technical processes clearly.

• Fluent English; German language skills are a must (C1 level).

• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, EBS, IAM, or RDS.

• Experience with EDR, vulnerability management, monitoring, or logging solutions.

• Experience supporting developer or engineering environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD infrastructure and version-control systems.

• Previous exposure to ISO 27001, TISAX, ISMS, or security audits .

• IT or security certifications such as CompTIA, ITIL, CCNA, or similar.

• Interest or experience in AI/LLM technologies and their secure use within an enterprise environment.
