Operations Manager - Education & Student Services at London School of Excellence

London School of Excellence is looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day education operations.

The successful candidate will manage staff activity, student communication, application progress, university correspondence, operational reporting and partnership development.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who can keep multiple teams and processes organised, ensure tasks are completed on time, and provide management with clear visibility of ongoing operations.

Tasks

• Manage and monitor day-to-day staff activities, attendance, punctuality and overall performance.
• Allocate daily and weekly tasks and ensure work is completed on time.
• Conduct brief team check-ins and review staff weekly reports.
• Monitor whether students, agents and universities are being contacted and followed up by the responsible team.
• Oversee student enquiries, application progress, outstanding documents and pending actions.
• Ensure applications are properly assigned, updated and progressed without unnecessary delay.
• Monitor university communication, application follow-ups, offers, conditions and outstanding matters.
• Assign or coordinate important operational emails and internal communication.
• Support and monitor new university/education partnership activities, including follow-ups and meetings.
• Ensure staff correctly update the CRM and internal systems.
• Monitor overdue tasks, inactive cases and unresolved issues.
• Identify blockers, coordinate with the relevant team members and make sure problems are resolved quickly.
• Act as the main communication point across teams to keep workflows moving smoothly.
• Maintain visibility of staff workload, task status and operational priorities.
• Prepare a weekly operations report for senior management.
• Escalate serious staff, application, university or operational issues when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in operations, education, student recruitment, admissions, office management or a similar role.
• Experience managing or supervising a team.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident communicating professionally with students, staff, universities and external partners.
• Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Comfortable using CRM systems, email, spreadsheets and other digital tools.
• Ability to identify problems and take ownership of resolving them.
• Professional and confident telephone manner.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for day-to-day operations.
