The role

We're seeking an analytical, execution-oriented Product Marketing Manager to drive engagement and retention marketing for SoFi Checking and Savings, the foundation of our deposits business and our largest driver of member growth. This role focuses on our existing member base: deepening the relationships we already have, growing and retaining balances and direct deposits, and bringing dormant accounts back to life.

Your core KPIs will be deposits and direct deposits, with a specific focus on growing and retaining balances across our existing member base. You'll own the promotions and offers that ladder to those goals, working directly with the technical teams that build and implement them. You'll work alongside our Lifecycle Marketing team on engagement and retention campaigns, and partner closely with product and engineering on product-led experiments that turn accounts into everyday banking habits. This includes driving ongoing account utilization as well as reducing churn and reactivating dormant members.

Analytical rigor is central to this role. Segmentation, audience development, and offer testing are primary levers for driving deposit and direct deposit growth, and we're looking for someone with the quantitative depth to identify opportunities within the member base and the judgment to prioritize the ones worth pursuing.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with a meaningful piece of the business to drive. You'll be the day-to-day marketing owner of this segment of our business, working in close partnership with the Product Marketing lead for Checking & Savings. You'll collaborate with product, engineering, data science, lifecycle, channel owners, our in-house creative studio, finance, and compliance.

What you’ll do:

• Drive day-to-day engagement and retention marketing for Checking & Savings, with core KPIs on deposits and direct deposits across our existing member base
• Grow and retain balances and direct deposit relationships by identifying the highest-leverage member segments, sizing the opportunity, and building the plan to move them
• Own the promotions, sweepstakes, and offers tied to your KPIs, from offer construction and setup through launch, compliance review, and post-campaign analysis, working directly with the technical teams that build and implement them
• Develop sophisticated segmentation and testing programs, designing audience and offer tests that identify and unlock incremental value across the member base
• Partner closely with Lifecycle Marketing to design, launch, and optimize engagement and retention campaigns across email, push, in-app, and other owned channels
• Work with product and engineering on product-led experiments: in-product prompts, feature surfacing, and flows that drive direct deposit and balance growth among established members
• Reduce churn and reactivate dormant members through member segmentation, targeted offers, and disciplined testing
• Build the measurement plan and own the readout: define success up front, read results with an eye toward incrementality, and turn findings into concrete recommendations for the next cycle

What you’ll need:

• 4+ years of product marketing, growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or closely related experience, preferably in fintech, banking, or another regulated consumer category
• Analytical Thinking: Strong quantitative skills and comfort in spreadsheets and Business Intelligence tools. You can build a segmentation, run a cohort or retention analysis, size an opportunity, read a test result, and clearly explain what happened and why
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect day-to-day execution to business outcomes, prioritize where it matters, and make a reasoned case for a recommendation
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven experience working closely with cross-functional teams, especially Product and technical/engineering partners. You can translate marketing needs into requirements a technical team can build against
• Experimentation: Experience designing and running tests in campaigns, in product, or both and distilling results into insights others can act on
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple concurrent campaigns, dependencies, and deadlines without losing the details
• Communication: Write clearly and concisely; can brief a creative team and present a readout to partners with equal ease
• Initiative & Bias for Action: Eagerness to roll up your sleeves to get things done (even the unglamorous things)
• Bachelor's degree required

Nice to have:

• Experience marketing banking or deposit products, particularly around direct deposit or balance growth
• Experience with segmentation and audience targeting against a large customer base
• Experience building and running promotions, sweepstakes, or offer and bonus mechanics
• Working familiarity with SQL and Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau
• Experience operating in a regulated environment alongside legal and compliance partners
