About the Role

You'll join People Ops, the Systems and Operations pillar of the People team. It owns payroll, HRIS, onboarding and offboarding, contracts, benefits, and compliance across France, the US, and our remote geographies. You'll report to Melissa, our Senior Global HR Systems and Operations Manager in Paris. We're opening this role because Vibe is scaling fast across regions, and payroll plus People Ops now need a dedicated owner who keeps the engine running and makes it better. If you want real ownership of payroll from day one, a front-row seat to how an international team actually operates across three geographies, and the room to reshape and automate the work as you go, this is the seat.

What You'll Do

Payroll and contractors

• Run the monthly French payroll cycle with our external provider, from variable inputs to final validation.

• Check every payslip before sign-off to catch errors before they reach employees.

• Keep EOR payroll on schedule across our remote geographies.

• Own contractor operations end to end, from timesheet collection to the Finance provisioning file.

• Reconcile each cycle to catch what doesn't add up before it’s live.

People operations and HR admin

• Manage employment documents for a team spread across France, the US, and remote.

• Administer benefits: enrollments, changes, and the questions employees bring.

• Run onboarding and offboarding logistics so every joiner and leaver lands cleanly.

Employee support

• Serve as first point of contact for employees on People questions.

• Triage incoming requests through our ticketing system against agreed SLAs.

• Research individual employee cases across policy, contracts, and local labour law.

Systems and projects

• Maintain HRIS data hygiene and the workflows behind it.

• Drive People Ops projects end to end, with clear scope, deadlines, and stakeholders.

What You Need

• 3+ years in payroll, HR administration, or People Ops. An apprenticeship or internship counts.

• Strong knowledge of French payroll and labour law fundamentals: contracts, absences, final pay, health and provident cover.

• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and real comfort working with numbers.

• Project management basics: you've run something with a real deadline and a scope that moved.

• Experience with an HRIS.

• Fluent French and English. English is our working language.

Nice to Haves

• Hands-on experience in a ticketing tool.

• Exposure to international or EOR payroll.

• Comfort building automations to cut manual work.

• Experience at a scale-up.

For candidates in France, the base pay range for this role is €45k–€65k, plus variable. We will support relocation to Paris for great candidates.
