ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Client Senior Executive. This full-time, London-based role reports to the Regional Client Associate Director and supports XCM, Amazon’s Cross-Channel Marketing division. The position sits within a regional team that works remotely across the UK and Germany, with the line manager based in DE and regular collaboration with colleagues and local market teams across Europe. The Client Senior Executive coordinates campaigns and workstreams from briefing to delivery, helping to ensure consistent client service, robust operations and high-quality execution.
XCM is Amazon’s Cross-Channel Marketing division, delivering communications for Amazon.com, including major campaigns such as Black Friday and Prime Day. OpenDoor is XCM’s media partner worldwide, excluding North America and Latin America. As Europe is the largest region supported by the WPP team, the Regional XCM Client Senior Executive plays an important role in coordinating consistent delivery across markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaboration across OpenDoor and the wider WPP network is central to the role, with a strong focus on best practice, operational consistency and on-time delivery.
- Campaign delivery and coordination: Coordinate regional XCM campaigns and workstreams from briefing to delivery, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks and actions across client, internal and local market teams.
- Client service and communication: Act as a professional point of contact for client enquiries and requests, providing clear updates on campaign progress, deliverables and performance.
- Regional planning and reporting: Coordinate the accurate and timely delivery of regional plans and reports, including weekly spend trackers, performance reports and campaign status updates.
- Operational setup and governance: Set up and maintain reporting templates, trackers, campaign documentation and ways of working; coordinate inputs, complete quality checks and support consistent data and processes across markets.
- Finance and billing: Support finance processes by collating purchase orders, maintaining budget trackers, monitoring client billing, and escalating discrepancies or missing information.
- Meetings and follow-up: Participate in and facilitate regular client, internal and creative agency meetings, preparing agendas and materials and documenting actions, owners and deadlines.
- Communicate Global Campaign guidelines to local market teams, clarify requirements and support consistent implementation across markets.
- Build strong relationships with regional departments, local OpenDoor teams and wider WPP partners, working effectively across locations and time zones.
- Develop a strong understanding of Amazon’s ways of working and the OpenDoor operating model to improve organisation, quality and consistency.
- Identify and share best-in-class work from across the network, helping regional clients and local markets adopt effective approaches.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment and work with the line manager to set objectives aligned with the role and agency vision.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2–3 years’ experience in media planning, client management or account coordination, preferably within a network agency.
- Excellent organisational and project planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with close attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
- Awareness of the media and marketing industry, including key channels, emerging trends and planning principles.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and geographically distributed working environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to manage defined tasks independently and present outputs directly to clients or package them clearly for the wider team.

- Experience supporting multi-market or regional accounts.
- Experience with campaign reporting, budget tracking, operational governance or workflow tools.
- Familiarity with Amazon’s ecosystem, ways of working and Leadership Principles.
- Understanding of cross-channel media planning and how individual channels contribute to an integrated plan.
