PR & Communications Manager (m/f/d) at L1VE GmbH

Your mission

L1VE is a growing media and technology company with locations in Berlin and New York. With immersive 14K, 3D and 360° streaming technologies and innovative live formats, L1VE is transforming the way people experience sports, music and entertainment.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a PR & Communications Manager to take responsibility for both internal and external communications. In this role, you will develop our communications work strategically and operationally, increase L1VE’s visibility among relevant media and communities, and ensure clear and consistent communication across the company.

As PR & Communications Manager, you will be responsible for L1VE’s communications across internal and external channels. You will develop topics and messages, build relationships with media and relevant stakeholders, and support the communication of important company, product and content topics – from the initial idea through to publication.
You will combine traditional press and public relations with modern corporate communications. In this role, you will work closely with the executive team, Brand, Marketing, Content, Product and Tech, as well as with our teams in Berlin and New York.

• Develop and implement an integrated PR and communications strategy for L1VE, with a focus on external visibility and internal clarity
• Identify, develop and prepare relevant topics relating to L1VE, our technologies, products, live formats and partnerships
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editorial teams, media outlets, industry experts and other relevant multipliers
• Create and place press releases, statements and background materials, and prepare media briefings, interviews and other communications formats
• Prepare and support media conversations, interviews, events, launches and public appearances by L1VE and its executive team
• Develop and implement internal communications formats for teams in Berlin and New York, such as company updates, leadership communications, team information and change communications
• Ensure consistent positioning, tone of voice and messaging across internal and external communication channels
• Monitor media coverage, topics and relevant public discourse, and identify communication opportunities and potential risks
• Coordinate external agencies, freelancers and other communications partners, including the management of briefs, timelines and budgets
• Measure and evaluate communications impact using relevant KPIs, media resonance and qualitative learnings
• Use AI tools for research, topic development, monitoring, personalization and the efficient creation of communications materials; you can provide concrete examples of use cases you have implemented and the value they created

Your profile

• At least five years of professional experience in PR, Corporate Communications, media relations or a comparable communications role
• Proven experience independently designing and implementing external PR and internal corporate communications
• Excellent written and spoken German and English, with a confident and polished writing and editorial style in both languages
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editorial teams, media outlets, agencies and other relevant stakeholders
• Experience with communications planning, messaging, stakeholder communications and the communication support of company, product or content launches
• A strong understanding of how to make complex technological, business or creative topics accessible and relevant to different target audiences
• Excellent organizational skills, initiative, a confident manner and a strong sense for sensitive topics and potential communication risks
• Confident and practical use of AI and communications tools; you can demonstrate with specific examples how you have improved quality, speed or reach through their use
• A strong interest in sports, media, entertainment, technology and immersive experiences
